You will then leave the peaks of the Atlas to venture into the heart of the Ounila Valley, located on the southern slope of the central High Atlas in an absolutely fascinating transition area that opens the doors to the desert where the lush green of the oases contrasts with the red of the earth. Stop at the charming village of Asaka, dug on the sides of a cliff overlooking the river and accessible only by rope ladders, and overnight stay in a local family in the village of Brda. The trek continues through the sites of Tamakoucht and Tezleft with visits to the local collective barn, the troglodyte caves, and the Kasbah of Tamdakht.
