Extending for about 32 thousand square meters, it was not only the place where the equipment, anchors, and boats of the slaughter were kept in what became one of the most flourishing tuna processing industries, but also represents the history of the Florio family and of its intertwining with the life of the islanders, who found social redemption from poverty and a source of economic subsistence.
