It is possible to visit the splendid and wild Le Morne Brabant mountain declared a World Heritage Site, enjoy breathtaking views from the Black River Peak and experience an adventurous swim in the Tamarind waterfalls.

1. The slave route- Le Morne Brabant (departure days: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu-Fri)

Le Morne Brabant is a mountain located south-west of Mauritius, on the Morne Peninsula. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since July 2008, the site is a sanctuary for slaves who fled slavery and committed suicide by jumping off the cliff.
Still under private ownership, Le Morne Brabant is one of the most preserved and wildest mountains on the island. It is the ideal habitat for a wide variety of local and limited indigenous species such as the rare Trochetia Boutonania, which represents our floral symbol!
The excursion to the top of Morne Brabant takes between 3 and 4 hours, depending on the tranquility and homogeneity of the group. Once at the top you will admire the breathtaking view towards the west, towards the lagoons to the southwest and a part of the island!

2. The great discovery - Black River Gorges (departure days: Monday)
Guided tour by an expert climbing guide (EFR / WFA certified) speaking English or French, lunch included. The excursion is accessible to all people who are in good health. Excursions are restricted to children under 10 years.
You will begin our excursion to the Plaine Champagne plateau. From here, you will move to the summit of Mauritius, the Black River Peak at 828 meters. Overlooking the island, you will admire the panoramic view and the breathtaking view towards the colorful lagoons present in the west and south-west of the island, and just as beautiful the lush vegetation of the Chamarel National Park and its surroundings. You will continue our journey on a fantastic bicycle track to reach another beautiful unspoiled place, the Grand Piton. The easiest part of the excursion begins as soon as we descend to the Black River Gorges National Park. Halfway downhill, we will enter a splendid and fascinating forest, with only endemic and local species. This place will give you an idea what Mauritius once was. Continuing downhill, you will reach the most spectacular viewpoint of the Black River Gorges.
Located in the rocky area of the Mountain, surrounded by native species of the place, you will contemplate the three Gorges of our National Park while enjoying a fresh and healthy lunch! In this unspoiled area of Mauritius, we often give the opportunity to see many of our local birds, such as the beautiful Mauritian Kestrel.
Your journey will continue until the moment we reach the valley of the National Park, where you can have fun and swim energetically in the fresh and clear waters of the "black river" before reaching the visitors' parking, where your mind will fill with remember the unforgettable moments of this Great Discovery excursion.

3. The 7 waterfalls

The Tamarind waterfalls, also called "the 7 waterfalls" represent an adventurous excursion to the heart of the island. It is a total immersion in the tropical forest, where we will discover the seven Tamarind waterfalls one after the other.
After the second waterfall, you will have the opportunity to have fun with a little swim in the natural pools that the water has dug into the rocks!
