The area has always been surrounded by an aura of mysticism, the Dolpo was closed to foreigners until 1992, despite the reopening for a long time is not a very popular trekking and the exorbitant entrance fees have certainly contributed to maintaining this trend, the terrain is quite rough and some physical preparation is needed.

Breakfast. The Mendk Ding - Shey Gompa Trek takes 8 hrs. The trail follows the upper part of the Phoksumdo Khola, then turns north towards the Riwa Drugdra (Crystal Mountain) Altitude 4410,m. Overnight stay in a tent.

Depending on the climatic and road conditions, the order of the visits could change to the operation of internal flights. In order not to contribute to the pollution of the environment, transfers are made with air-conditioned vehicles only when strictly necessary.

Road conditions are not optimal in Nepal, transfers may prove longer than expected. On request, it is possible to quantify the supplement to use an SUV (if available) to make transfers.

Tips are not included but are recommended for drivers and guides.

To participate in this trip you need a Nepalese visa, and a passport is required, which must be valid 6 months from the date of return of the trip and have 1 free page, and 1 passport photo, the visa is obtained on the spot.

Reference exchange rates for currencies:

Currency: US dollar (USD) – Exchange rate: 1.11

Changes in exchange rates with fluctuations greater than 3% will lead to an adjustment in costs and will be communicated within 20 days of departure.

Currency block: € 50 per case.

The customer has the possibility of definitively blocking the cost of ground services which will no longer be subject to currency fluctuations.
