We offer you this trekking route in Pamir, a little touristic itinerary along the mountains of Central Asia which allows a genuine encounter with the local people thanks also to an overnight stay in local houses. Immerse yourself like the lakes. Tajikistan is a state of Central Asia certainly not among the best known and most visited … But we guarantee that it will offer you breathtaking views and glimpses of unique landscapes!
Early arrival in Dushanbe, transfer to the hotel, and accommodation until 10:00 am. Late morning start of visits; Museum of Antiquities, famous for the big Buddha with a length of about 13 m. After the museum, you head to the Hissar Fortress (25 km) and visit the Madrassah museum. Return to Dushanbe to visit the famous "Green Bazar" market. Afterward, you will visit the Main Square. Dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast transfer by car to Kalai-Khumb, via Kulyab, you stop in Kulyab for lunch and some visits. Kalai-Khumb is the city of entry to the GBAO area, the second name of this city is Darvaz which means "front door". In Pamir people speak a different language, with 7 different dialects. Kalai-Khumb is located on the Panj River and allows you to admire Afghanistan on the opposite bank; the river is in fact the official border between the two countries. Dinner and accommodation in a private pension.
Half-day stay in Kalai-Khumb, visit of the surrounding city, and then transfer to Khorog, accommodation in a local hotel.
Day dedicated to the visit of the famous thermal baths in Pamir "Garmchashma". Afterward, transfer to the upper part of the Gunt river to Bachor village, and overnight stay in private house or tent.
Day dedicated to trekking. On the way visit the Pamir-Highway monument.
Day dedicated to acclimatization.
Half day of relaxation at the spa.
Trekking in Khachin lake.
Trekking in Zaroshkul lake.
Trekking in Kulen lake.
Trekking in Yashikul lake.
Trekking in Chapdar lake.
Trekking in Langar Valley.
Trekking to Bulunkul (last day of trekking). Overnight stay in Homestay.
In the morning transfer to Ishkashim. On the way, you will visit one of the old fortifications on the Kah-Kaha silk road in Namadgut. On the way, you will visit the Buddhist Stupas in Vrang and the sacred thermal springs of Bibi Fatima Zahra, and finally the ruins of the fortress of Yamchun (IV-III B.C.) which once housed the Pamir branch of the Great Silk Road. Accommodation in hotel.
After breakfast transfer from Khorog to Kalai-KHumb (Darvaz) accommodation in private pension.
After breakfast transfer by car from Kalai-Khumb to Dushanbe. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner and rest.
Transfer at night to the airport for return flights.
