Light Trekking in Oman
The thrill of trekking in the desert is a unique and fascinating experience, this wonderful 14-day itinerary is the perfect opportunity to test yourself with an average trekking, seasoned by a swim (over 200mt) and excursions with the camel, also allows you to experience the exciting adventure of staying in a tent in the dunes.
Arrival in Muscat in the evening. After handling the customs formalities and having collected your luggage, transfer to the hotel for the overnight stay.
Start of the tour by 4x4 vehicle via Wadi Dayqah Dam, up to Wadi Shab, where you can walk among the natural pools of crystal clear water, with the possibility of taking a refreshing swim.

By car you reach Salma Plateau, in the eastern part of the Hajar Mountains. Walkthrough 5000-year-old tombs near Al Jaylah. Overnight stay at the camp set up on the valley floor.
Short drive by car before starting a trek, which includes both a walking part and a swimming part, in the lower part of Wadi Bani Khalid. Climb the rocks and swim in large natural pools to the village where cars await you. The longest swimming passage is 200 m. Afterward, you drive by car to the Wahiba Sands Desert, trekking to the desert camp, and overnight stay.
Full day camel excursion with stop for lunch. Overnight stay in the desert camp.
By 4x4 vehicle you cross the Wahiba Sands desert, a walk through the dunes to the sea. Overnight stay in a tent in Ras Ruways, where the dunes meet the ocean. Fossil dunes and unique panoramas await you.
Trekking along the beach, to the village of An Najda. Fishermen will meet along the way. Excursion to the southern tip of the Bar al Hikman Peninsula, with a beautiful lagoon where numerous birds live. Transfer by car to Mahout, and overnight stay at Al Jazeera Guesthouse, with showers and air conditioning!
Short transfer to the Al Huqf desert, trekking in the Huqf Pinnacle area. Continue by 4x4 vehicle to the Rub al Khali desert, the largest sand desert in the world. Along the way, you can see important oil and gas fields. Overnight stay in a tent in the dunes.

By car you leave the desert, you pass Umm as Sameem, the largest expanse of salt in Oman. Lunch in a local restaurant in Fahud where the first oil field was discovered. Continue by car to Ibri and overnight stay at your hotel in Ibri.
Visit the tombs in Wadi Al-Ayn, cross the Hajar Mountains via Murri. Arrive in Muscat in the late evening. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Half-day city tour in the morning. Free time in the afternoon, before transferring to Muscat airport.

ENTRY VISA: A passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry is required to participate in this trip. The visa is obtained by paying OMR 5.00 (approximately € 12).

In the desert, meals are prepared with the help of the guide and drivers, but there is no real cook.

Changes in exchange rates with fluctuations greater than 3% will lead to an adjustment in costs and will be communicated within 20 days of departure.
Currency block: € 50 per case.
