Tour of 11 days / 9 nights of naturalistic interest, dedicated to the most daring travelers, which leads to the discovery of the UNESCO sites of Borneo. An exciting and intense trek through the pinnacles of the majestic Mulu cave system and to Kinabalu Mount to discover its great biodiversity. The itinerary ends in the Kinabatangan River, where you can observe the high concentration of wild animals that inhabits the dense forest of Borneo.

Arrival at kota Kinabalu airport, meeting with the guide and transfer to the hotel.

Breakfast transfer to the airport. Arrival at Mulu airport in the morning, meeting with one of our staff for the short transfer to Mulu Marriot Resort. Mulu National Park is one of Malaysia's most spectacular parks. It is an expanse of unspoiled nature that offers the opportunity to explore caves, walk on suspension bridges and go trekking. Among its most relevant features is the fact that two mountain massifs, one of sandstone and the other limestone, rise opposite each other, within its borders. Path of over 3 kilometers in the surrounding jungle to reach the caves of Lang and Deer which together form the largest internal passage in the world. Inside there are millenary stalactites and stalagmites of various shapes and sizes. At sunset you can witness the spectacular exit from the caves of millions of bats who, in groups, go to the surrounding jungle in search of food. The return will take place at nightfall, walking in the jungle in a suggestive atmosphere. Dinner and overnight stay inside the resort.
After breakfast, boat excursion to the Winds Caves followed by the clear water caves, walking along wooden walkways and rocky steps you can admire the longest underground water path in the world, excavated over the years by the pre-existing river and the surrounding endemic flora. Packed lunch. In the afternoon, continue by boat until you reach Long Litut, from where you start an adventurous trek of about 9 km (about 5 hours) until you reach Camp 5. Dinner and overnight stay at Camp 5.
Wake up early in the morning, and start the climb to Gunung Api at an altitude of 1200 meters for about 3 hours for the magnificent Pinnacles. Pinnacles is a unique razor-sharp limestone tip 45 meters high. During the trek you will see many species of plants, all types of insects within this virgin Borneo jungle.
Return to the camp for the night.
Early breakfast and return to Mulu National Park and the airport for the Kota Kinabalu flight. Arrival in Kota Kinabalu and transfer for lunch. After lunch, transfer to Kinabalu National Park. This afternoon free to stroll through the park's paths. A simple local dinner at the Balsam Café. Overnight stay in the Lodge.
Early morning breakfast and transfer to the National Park to meet the Alpine Guide who will assist you with the registration for the climb, Sabah Parks assign a walking guide to the National Park (NB: Report of 2 children (under 16 years) to a National Park guide. EG: 2AD and 2CH will require 2 local guides).
Transfer to Timpohon Gate with shuttle (the gate closes to the climbers at 10.00 am). It is advisable to start the climb no later than 08:00 am. The best approach to this climb is to take it slowly and steadily and to periodically stop the stops - not only to rest but to enjoy the splendid scenery that surrounds and changes while you go to the lodge of Laban Rata, at 3270 m.
A packed lunch on the way up. Dinner will be a simple buffet at the Laban Rata Guesthouse.
Night alarm and breakfast. Once you put on your warm clothes, set off on a wonderful adventure.
02:30 am Prepare the torches and start the excursion to the top of the torchlight with the aim of catching the sunrise on Low's peak at 05:45 am. The trail this morning lasts up to 3 hours. Climbing for 800 m on subalpine terrain you can challenge yourself with several passages and one last stage at the top with the assistance of a rope. At 06:30 am (after sunrise) you will go down to Laban Rata for breakfast. Descending slowly from the mountain, perhaps having a ginger tea in Laban Rata to celebrate success. Return to Timpohon Gate for the shuttle transfer to the National Park headquarters where a simple lunch awaits you in the local Balsam Café restaurant. Transfer to Sepilok in Sandakan. Dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight stay at Sepilok Nature Resort.
Breakfast. Continue to the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Center, a conservation and rehabilitation center where you can admire the smallest bear species in the world at close range, in danger of extinction. Short walk to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. In this center there are orangutans taken from poachers, injured, orphans of killed parents; here, through a long process of rehabilitation, they are treated and trained with the aim of reintroducing them in nature, training them for life in the forest. During the so-called feeding-time, now to which the rangers of the reserve administer fruit and milk to the orangutans, it is possible to observe these Primates as they descend through strong ropes to reach the platforms, on which it is possible to photograph them from special positions. Continue for about two hours towards Sukau and transfer to the Kinabatangan river, the longest river in Sabah. Accommodation at the lodge and lunch. After a coffee break, in the mid-afternoon, exit by motorized boat in search of the local fauna: orangutans, nasal monkeys, long-tailed macaques, short-tailed macaques, monitor lizards, mangrove snakes, different species of hornbills, kingfishers, eagles, are the fauna components more easily observable. With a bit of luck, crocodiles, and elephants can also be observed. Return to the lodge and dinner. In the evening, on request, it is possible to organize a boat trip (optional) to observe the night fauna. Overnight stay at the lodge.
Wake up early. Today you have the opportunity to start the day with a morning cruise or Jungle Trek to Ox-Bow lake for birdwatching. After morning exploration, return to the lodge to cool off and have breakfast.
Time until lunchtime in the afternoon. Buffet lunch at the lodge restaurant. In the afternoon afternoon tea / coffee with some locals before taking a river cruise. After the river cruise, the buffet dinner is served in the dining room. Overnight stay at Bilit Rainforest Lodge.
After breakfast, departure for the Gomatong caves. Upon arrival after 15 minutes walking through the forest you will reach the cave, the short jungle walk will take you to the unique limestone vegetation and the lowland forest, for bird and primate observation. Explore one of Sabah's fascinating caves, the cave is home to millions of bats. After exploring the cave, proceed to Sandakan for lunch.
The afternoon arrives at the colonial-style English Teahouse, a concept inspired by the famous Agnes Keith house for lunch before hotel accommodation.

The tour is recommended for an adult audience with excellent physical condition and trained for long jungle trekking. The entrance / exit transfers will be made only with a driver.
Any early check-in / late check-out are subject to availability and available at an additional cost. Check-in at the hotels is scheduled for 02.00 pm, while check-out at 12.00 am. In Malaysia / Singapore triple room means double room with extra bed (often rollaway bed) released by the hotel after check in. For the Mulu Caves portion, it is advisable to provide a small hand luggage with the indispensable during the climb to the Pinnacles and to leave the bulky luggage at the Marriot Mulu Resort deposit; the same will be recovered before the transfer to the airport. Being wild and free animals in their natural habitat, the sighting of some species is not guaranteed. The transfer Sukau – Semporna, from where to embark for a seaside stay at the islands of Mataking / Pom Pom / Kapalai / Mabul is available with a supplement. The transfer Sukau – Sandakan jetty from where to embark for a seaside stay on the island of Lankayan, is available with a supplement. Having to leave from 7.00 am from Bilit to the port of Sandakan, the morning excursion to Ox Bow lake will be lost (without refund). The transfer Sukau – Sandakan airport is based on flight MH 2047 with departure scheduled at 12.50; for other operators there is a supplement.
Recall that from 1 July 2017 the Malaysian government has implemented a tourist tax for the stay in all hotels in Malaysia based on the category.
